bought this rod for over seas travel been using it for a few weeks now at marks inc exmouth, blue anchor, ilforcombe and dawlish warren casting weights up to 7oz plus bait with ease. at first i thought with it being a 4 piece rod i wouldnt feel the bite as good but it is very good and casts realy well for only 12ft. the build of the rod seems good and feels good in the hand matched with a light reel my wife likes it over some of my other surf rods, comes out with us every time now and has earned its place in the rod holdall in fact for the price am thinking of getting one more.
